What Is Pain Mesotherapy?

Pain can be defined as an unpleasant sensation originating from any part of the body, which may or may not be related to an organ-specific cause, and which incorporates the person’s past experiences.

Pain mesotherapy is a procedure applied to the area of the body where pain is present. In this method, small doses of medication are administered to the patient at long intervals; it is frequently preferred for sports injuries, and because it is applied locally, it offers the advantage of avoiding the systemic side effects of medication.

Why Is Pain Mesotherapy Performed?

Pain mesotherapy is applied through the injection of special medication mixtures aimed at resolving the patient’s problems. It is a method frequently used for pain of undetermined cause as well as pain that occurs in attacks.

Which Types of Pain Can Be Addressed with Pain Mesotherapy?

It can be used in the treatment of muscle and joint pain, as well as meniscus problems, stress fractures, rheumatism, trigger finger, ligament injuries, shingles and Achilles tendon problems. It may also be helpful for neuralgia and degenerative conditions. Painful, inflamed fluid accumulation in the joints can also be treated.

Who Can Receive Pain Mesotherapy?

It can be applied to people with connective-tissue-related pain, trigeminal neuralgia, muscle pain, joint swelling/pain/restricted movement, acute and chronic tissue strain, certain types of edema, migraine, hand and wrist pain, cellulite, keloids, skin conditions such as baldness and acne, pain related to intestinal spasms, and soft-tissue sports-injury complaints.
